Be A Part of Love Unleashed Now!

After you donate, sign the birthday book that will be presented to Bill and Tom as part of their gift (you will be directed to the proper page). This book will be a hardbound, photographic memory book detailing the entire Love Unleashed project and collected fan signatures. Also, be sure to visit our website and vote for the Tokio Hotel song that you want featured on the commemorative plaque at the shelter. Check back to see if you are one of the lucky winners each week of a cool Love Unleashed Tshirt! And, of course, watch the 'Biscuit Jar' fill up with donations getting us closer to our goal. Remember, the more money we raise – the greater impact to help save the lives of precious animals that would otherwise be discarded and forgotten.Donate Today!

What You Can Do To Help
Love Unleashed will raise donations from Tokio Hotel fans from now through August 5th; all funds raised will allow us to select a legacy gift* in honor of Bill & Tom Kaulitz of Tokio Hotel for their 21st birthday. This permanent gift will benefit a new, premiere no-kill dog and cat adoption facility located in California, where it will forever remain a reminder of Tokio Hotel fans’ generosity and support of animal adoption. All donations will go toward furthering the wonderful work the adoption facility does on behalf of animals in its care to help them each find a loving, permanent home.

THE PROBLEM:
Pet overpopulation is a serious problem facing all societies today. Between 7 and 10 million dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens are brought to animal shelters in the United States ALONE each year. Worldwide, that statistic approaches even greater numbers.
Some of these animals that arrive at shelters are strays; others are surrendered by their owners. Sadly, only a small percent of these animals will ever find a home. The rest, (60 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats), are euthanized.
Only 10 percent of the animals received by shelters have been spayed or neutered. However, about 75 percent of owned pets are altered.
Five out of ten dogs in shelters and seven out of ten cats in shelters are euthanized simply because there is no one to adopt them.
The only good solution is to end the birth of more cats and dogs until every dog and cat born has a loving and permanent home awaiting him or her. There is hope!

TAKE ACTION – RAISE YOUR VOICE:
You can make a difference.
• Volunteer your time at a shelter
• Choose to be a responsible pet owner yourself
• Donate in-kind items to your local shelter (pet food, toys, blankets are always welcome)
• Participate in fundraisers sponsored by your local shelter or start your own
• Ask your local pet store to stop selling animals and just sell animal-care supplies, as well as work with local animal shelters to find homes for unwanted animals in your area.
• Call your city council members, your state representatives, and your governor and request that they enact strict spay-and-neuter ordinances, in which guardians must either get their dogs and cats altered or pay  large fees.
• Educate yourself about the pet overpopulation crisis

The Valley Animal Center is dedicated to controlling the pet population through education and spaying/neutering, not euthanasia. We believe animals, as living creatures, deserve to be protected, respected, and given every consideration morally and ethically. Our mission is to assist with and provide for the health and welfare of the animals that have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured; to promote the bond between animals and people; and to instill an appreciation and respect for all living creatures with whom we share this earth.

WE ARE THEIR SHELTER, YOU ARE THEIR FUTURE.
